Before and After A Root Canal

BEFORE AND AFTER A ROOT CANAL
It typically starts with a toothache, which is most often the result of a cavity.1 When a cavity is neglected, it can grow until the tooth decay is so deep it damages the tooth pulp—which will then require a root canal treatment2 or an extraction. If you have a tooth requiring a root canal, knowing your options before seeking treatment can help you find a provider who offers the root canal therapy that best suits you—so you know what to expect after treatment.

THE GENTLEWAVE® PROCEDURE
The GentleWave® Procedure is a minimally invasive5 alternative to standard root canal treatment (RCT) that cleans the deepest, most complex portions of the root canal system.3,5 Relying on fewer files than standard RCT,3 the GentleWave alternative uses fluid dynamics and broad spectrum acoustic energy3 to reach into the microscopic spaces3,5 that standard root canal treatment often cannot.6 If you’re interested in a root canal alternative that helps you save your natural tooth, visit www.gentlewave.com.

TRANSCRIPT
Toothaches are most commonly caused by cavities,1 developing from plaque buildup on your teeth.2 Left untreated, cavities continue to grow. When a cavity reaches the pulp inside the tooth, the root canal system can become infected, which will need root canal therapy to resolve. When it comes to root canal therapy, there are a few options to choose from.

There’s standard root canal treatment, which can leave behind infected tissue3 and cause reinfection4 that requires the tooth be extracted or retreated. There is also the GentleWave® Procedure, a minimally invasive5 alternative to standard root canal treatment that reaches into the microscopic spaces3 to remove bacteria, debris and tissue3 that standard root canal treatment can leave behind.6 The GentleWave Procedure is so effective, there’s even less chance of failure over time!7 For an extraordinary clean, ask for the GentleWave® Procedure.
