Getting your braces off is a little bit like getting them on. It’s a big change, and your dentist does have to use some force to get the brackets and all of the glue out of your mouth. While it doesn’t hurt, when you get home from your last visit you might notice that your teeth and gums are a little tender.
Will It Hurt to Have My Braces Removed⁉️
It shouldn’t hurt at all. You might feel some pressure as the brackets are removed, but the process, overall, should be painless.
✅ Next Step: Take Care of That New Smile!
Once your braces come off, it’s time to enjoy that new smile. However, it’s important to also remember that, just because the braces are gone, your orthodontic treatment is not over. You still have to wear your retainer and take care of your teeth as your dentist instructs, and continue visiting us at least twice a year.
Not every visit it’s complicated 🙂
