Don’t Be a Dentist/Doctor.

Becoming a doctor/dentist is very competitive – so competitive that, sometimes we forget to take a step back, look at the big picture, and ask questions as to why we want to dedicate so many hours to be working in the field we love. We have the privilege of working with vulnerable people and making differences in their lives. However in my opinion, tableside manner and interpersonal skills are just as important as clinical knowledge.

As Sir William Osler said, “The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.”
