HORSE TEETH – Equine Dentistry and Vaccines – The Horse Veterinarian Visits

Maggie Grace, our horse, gets a thorough checkup by the equine large animal vet (veterinarian). This doctor not only gives the horse a thorough exam, but talks us through it. The large animal vet is very informative and patient. She takes a good look at the horse from head to foot. She listens to her heart, lungs and gut. The most intense part is when Maggie gets her teeth done. Even horses need a dentist. The dental work looks brutal, but should make the horse feel much better.

When a horse gets it’s teeth done, often it is called getting their teeth floated or floating teeth. I’m not entirely sure why “floating”, but hey…
